CTRA 2025 - 2027 BOD Positions up for Nomination
The President Elect shall, in the absence or disability of the President, perform the duties and exercise the powers of the President. The President Elect attends all meetings, completes other duties as assigned and reports to the board. The president elect shall be elected annually for a term of one year. After a one-year term in office, this individual will be appointed to president for a term of one year.
The Secretary shall give or cause to be given, notice of all meetings. The Secretary shall attend all meetings, act as clerk and record all notes and minutes. The Secretary is the custodian of the corporate seal.
The Marketing Director promotes national and international awareness of CTRA and builds relationships with CTRA members, partners and affiliates through positive communication in a variety of formats. The Marketing Director handles all public relations requests and considers opportunities presented to CTRA in the form of tradeshows, donations, and other marketing activities for the profession of Therapeutic Recreation.
The Education Director provides CTRA members a forum knowledge translation. The Education Director will develop formal relationships with Canadian post-secondary educational institutions that provide Therapeutic Recreation programs and related courses.
The Prairie Director is responsible to CTRA for the representation of Partner Therapeutic Recreation Associations in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and North West Territories.
The Atlantic Director is responsible to CTRA for the representation of the Partner Therapeutic Recreation Associations In New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
