There are several pathways to membership with us. Applicants are encouraged to review the criteria for each category before submitting their application, to ensure their application is reflective of their current qualifications.

Please note: agreements are in place with the following provincial organizations and their respective membership categories. If you are a member of BCTRAATRA, or TRO within one of the listed categories, you are not required to complete the CTRA Academic Requirements Form. Instead, simply provide your respective provincial association number when submitting your CTRA application.

This courtesy applies to the following:

  • BCTRA – Professional members
  • ATRA – Professional members
  • TRO – Members who hold the R/TRO designation

In accordance with CTRA’s joint agreements with ATRA and BCTRA, professional members residing in British Columbia or Alberta are required to maintain good standing with their respective provincial associations and to complete their CTRA registration directly through their provincial organization.

Please note: If you fall within the Professional Members – CTRS® or Professional Members categories and are experiencing Economic Hardship you may be eligible for the CTRA Economic Hardship Program.
